West Bengal: The atmosphere of assembly elections is heated in West Bengal. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while addressing a public meeting in Dhupguri in Jalpaiguri district on Saturday, promised to implement strict law and order and 'bulldozer model' if the BJP government is formed. He said that if BJP comes to power, action will be taken against the properties of mafia and the rule of law will be maintained in the state. During his speech, supporters raised loud slogans.

The chief minister said that if the BJP government is formed, crime and mafia system will be completely eliminated in Bengal. Referring to the 'bulldozer action', he said that strict steps will be taken against criminals and the administrative system will be strengthened. He claimed that the model adopted in Uttar Pradesh will be implemented in Bengal also.

In his speech, Yogi Adityanath gave the example of Uttar Pradesh. He said that before 2017 the situation in UP was different, but now the situation has completely changed. He claimed that improvement in law and order is possible with strict action and clear policy and the same model can be adopted in Bengal also. He said that bulldozers will be used on mafias in Bengal also.

Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on All India Trinamool Congress. Alleging corruption and anarchy in the state, he said that the benefits of the central government schemes are not reaching the common people properly. He also accused TMC of patronizing the mafia system and said that the state is in the grip of sand, coal, land and cattle smuggling mafias.

Yogi Adityanath, while referring to the Women's Reservation Bill in Parliament, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working towards giving more rights to women, but the opposition parties opposed it. He also expressed BJP's commitment towards women's safety and said that women will be provided a safe environment in Bengal also.

What was claimed regarding development and employment?

He said that youth in Uttar Pradesh have got employment opportunities and farmers are getting better prices for their produce. Yogi Adityanath claimed that the same model of development and good governance will be implemented in Bengal also. Giving the slogan of 'double engine government', he said that Bengal will develop rapidly if BJP government is formed at the center and the state.

Overall, this public meeting of Yogi Adityanath is being considered a part of West Bengal election strategy. In this, law and order, development, anti-mafia and political allegations and counter-allegations were the main issues. BJP is trying to increase its influence in the state through this tour, while Trinamool Congress has criticized these statements.
